The Philippine Basketball Association plans to hold two conferences for its upcoming 46th season.

In a virtual press conference on Tuesday, PBA board chairman Ricky Vargas said aside from the four-month Philippine Cup, the league will also hold the Governors' Cup which will run for six months.

The Philippine Cup is expected to start on April 11.

For the Governors' Cup, the league said the height limit of imports will be the usual at 6-foot-5.

The league said it plans to conduct the season in a "semi-bubble" format, where the players will only be allowed to move within their homes and the playing venue.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said they have sent a request to the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging and Infectious Diseases (IATF) to do the games in Metro Manila

The league has also requested COVID-19 vaccines from the Philippine Red Cross.

On top of the 5-on-5 games, the league will also have 3x3 games, which will be played before the main matches.
