Terrafirma goes for Jordan Heading as first Gilas pick in PBA Draft

Terrafirma Dyip selected Jordan Heading as the top pick for the special Gilas Pilipinas round of the PBA Season 46 Rookie Draft on Sunday.

After being picked by Terrafirma as the number one Gilas pick, Heading said he plans to bring international experience to the league. "I plan to bring them with me in Gilas and the PBA as well," Heading said in an interview.

The picks in the special Gilas round include:

1. Jordan Heading (Terrafirma Dyip)
2. Will Navarro (NorthPort)
3. Tzaddy Rangel (NLEX)Jaydee Tungcab (TNT)

The 6-foot-2 Heading played for the ASEAN Basketball League along with Tzaddy Rangel. William Navarro and Jaydee Tungcab, meanwhile, played for Gilas in the second window of the FIBA Asia Cup last November.

The four will be part of the men's national basketball pool which is expected to play in the final window of the FIBA Asia Cup and the upcoming FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

The rookie draft has a total of 86 applicants. — LA, GMA News
