Kobe Paras reveals battle with depression after return to the Philippines
Kobe Paras revealed that he had struggled with depression and suicidal feelings after he returned to the Philippines four years ago.
The young basketball star shared this in a tweet on Thursday.
"When I moved back to the Philippines 4 years ago, I was at my lowest. I was depressed, suicidal, I just felt so lost," Paras wrote.
"Until now there are days I don’t feel like me," he added.

I was depressed, suicidal, I just felt so lost.
Until now there are days I don’t feel like me.
Whatever you’re going through, find a purpose and stick to it.
It’s not easy at all
Only you can save yourself??????????
Paras, the son of basketball great Benjie and celebrity Jackie Forster, played some of his collegiate years in the United States before returning home.
He would later become a part of the University of the Philippines (UP) basketball team here in 2018.
Paras recently joined East West Private, a US-based agency that handles Filipino talents such as Kai Sotto and Cholo Anonuevo. He earlier posted some photos from his training back in the US.
The former Fighting Maroon offered some more perspective for those undergoing similar struggles.
"Whatever you’re going through, find a purpose and stick to it. It’s not easy at all. Only you can save yourself," said Paras.
