Suns beat Clippers in Game 4 to take 3-1 lead in West Finals

The Phoenix Suns came out ahead in a low-scoring contest, 84-80, to take a 3-1 series lead over the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA Western Conference Finals on Saturday (Sunday in Manila).

Devin Booker led Phoenix with 25 points while Deaandre Ayton added 19 points alongside 22 rebounds and four blocks.

Point guard Chris Paul finished with 18 points - including several clutch free throws - and seven assists.

LA was led by Paul George, who posted 23 points, 16 rebounds, and six assists in the loss.

The Suns led 50-36 at halftime, but the Clippers bounced back in the third quarter to come within three points, 69-66.

Neither team got a lot of offense going in the fourth period, although a layup from Paul and charities from Booker allowed the Suns to get a small lead, 79-74, heading into the final stretch.

The last minute turned into a free throw shooting contest, and Paul proved steadier for Phoenix in the end.
