Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo named 2021 NBA Finals MVP

Two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo can now add one more accomplishment to the list: Finals MVP.

The Milwaukee Bucks superstar was named the best player of the six-game 2021 NBA Finals series between the Bucks and the Phoenix Suns after averaging 35.2 points and 13.2 rebounds per game.

He posted 50 points, 14 rebounds, and five blocks in an all-time performance on Tuesday’s (Wednesday in Manila) Game 6 close-out to clinch the franchise’s first championship since 1971.

He also had several big moments earlier in the series, including a block on Deaandre Ayton in Game 4 that helped seal the win for Milwaukee and a game-winning play in Game 5 where teammate Jrue Holiday stole the ball from Devin Booker and found Antetokounpo for an alley-oop dunk.
