Manny Pacquiao congratulates Jalen Green on Twitter after NBA Draft

Manny Pacquiao offered his congratulations to Filipino-American basketball star Jalen Green, who on Thursday (Friday in Manila) was selected 2nd overall by the Houston Rockets in the 2021 NBA Draft.

"Congratulations to @JalenGreen on getting drafted #2 overall. Looking forward to watching your journey to becoming a superstar," Pacquiao wrote on Twitter, along with a picture of him and Green.

Green's fellow NBA player of Filipino heritage, Jordan Clarkson, also posted on social media, sharing artwork made of him, Green, and Raymond Townsend, the first Filipino-American to play in the NBA.

The 6-foot-6 guard averaged 17.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists for Ignite in the G League season.
