Jimmy Alapag named assistant coach for Sacramento's G League team

Jimmy Alapag has just added another line to his coaching resume.

The former Gilas Pilipinas skipper was recently named assistant coach for the Stockton Kings, the G League affiliate of the NBA team Sacramento Kings.

The assignment came after Alapag helped steer the Sacramento Kings to a title in the NBA Summer League with a rout of the Boston Celtics in the championship round.

Alapag will join the Stockton bench where former NBA player Bobby Jackson is at the helm.

Aside from the six-time PBA champion, the Stockton Kings also tapped Will Scott as the associate head coach, Akachi Okugo as an assistant coach as well, Sydney Haydel as director of basketball operations, and Kaiti Jones  as the performance coach.
