Manila Chooks TM bows out of FIBA 3x3 Montreal Masters

Manila Chooks TM bowed out of the FIBA 3x3 Montreal Masters on Sunday (Manila time) as they went 0-2 in the tournament.

The squad of Mark Yee, Mac Tallo, Zach Huang, and Dennis Santos wrapped its campaign in Canada after a loss to local club Edmonton, 21-16, during the pool stage of the competition.

Tallo fired 11 points in a valiant stand but a more balanced scoring output for Edmonton gave them the edge.

Prior to the loss against Edmonton, the Chooks-to-Go backed team also lost to Belgium's Antwerp, 21-11.

Manila head coach Aldin Ayo took responsibility for the winless campaign.

"We have no excuses," Ayo said in a statement. "Hindi lumabas 'yung mga pinractice namin."

"We as coaches are accountable, lalo na ako, sa result ng campaign natin. Hindi ko napalabas 'yung mga pinrepare natin," he added.

Aside from the four players, Chico Lanete was also with the team as an alternate.
