Ray Parks scores 15 as Nagoya routs Toyama to spoil Dwight Ramos' B.League debut

Ray Parks' Nagoya Diamond Dolphins cruised to a lopsided 94-68 victory over the Toyama Grouses to spoil Dwight Ramos' highly-awaited debut in the 2021 Japan B. League on Saturday at the Toyama City Gymnasium.

Nagoya recorded back-to-back wins to improve to a 2-3 win-loss card while Toyama, along with Javi Gomez de Liaño's Ibaraki Robots, will remain winless at 0-5.

Ramos, a Gilas Pilipinas standout, entered the game for the first time at the 7:31 mark of the opening quarter but would only score four points in the first half as his team trailed Parks' Nagoya, 52-31.

The shots kept pouring in for the Dolphins in the third frame as Parks got hot and scored 10 of his team's 22 points to keep hold of their lead heading to the final period, 74-52.

American big man Scott Eatherton then took care of business in the fourth for Nagoya, dropping six of his overall output as the Dolphins cruised to their second win.

Parks recorded his best outing so far after finishing with 15 points off the bench, including three three-pointers, to go along four rebounds, and one assist in 20 minutes of action.

Eatherton led Nagoya with 20 markers and eight boards while Takumi Saito contributed 18 points and three steals.

Ramos, meanwhile, registered six points, seven rebounds, and three dimes to mark his professional debut.
