Jack Animam posts another double-double in Radnicki's loss to Kraljevo

Jack Animam had another monster game in the First Women's Basketball League of Serbia but her Radnicki Kragujevac still tumbled against ZKK Kraljevo, 86-63, on early Sunday morning (Manila time) at the Kraljevo Sports Hall.

Animam, a Philippine national team standout, finished with a double-double of 25 points and 19 rebounds, alongside a steal in 28 minutes of action.

Her outstanding numbers, though, went for naught as Radnicki endured its second consecutive loss for a 1-2 win-loss card in the 12-team tournament.

The 22-year-old beanpole was nothing short of impressive, detonating for 16 points and nine boards in the first half alone but her squad still had a 49-33 deficit at the break.

Radnicki would cut their deficit to 10, 57-47, after a 14-8 blitz to open the third but home team Kraljevo ignited for a 13-3 run of their own to close out the frame holding a 20-point upper hand, 70-50.

Animam tried to pump life back into her club after converting four of Radnicki's 13 points in the payoff period but last year's fifth seed Kraljevo proved to be too much for the visiting team.

Animam hopes to help Radnicki surpass its 7-15 finish last season and end the elimination round among the top 4 teams, who will then have the rights for a playoff spot.

Animam has been pouring in double-double outputs ever since she started her professional career in Serbia, dropping 20 points and 14 rebounds in their first win over Proleter 023.

The National University product had an even better outing with 29 markers and 12 boards during Radnicki's blowout loss to reigning titleholder ZKK Crvena zvezda.

Radnicki returns to action on October 23 when it faces Duga Sabac, which also finished last season with a 7-15 record.
