A pair of Filipino cagers and their respective clubs lost their matches as Japan B.League action returned on Saturday following a three-week break.

Dwight Ramos and the Toyama Grouses were dealt a 25-point setback by the Ryukyu Golden Kings, 91-66, to snap their three-game winning streak and drop to 4-11 in the team standings.

Ramos played for 24 minutes where he was able to produce six points, four rebounds, and two assists while Brice Johnson led the team with a double-double of 15 markers and 11 boards.

Toyama will be back in action on Sunday against the same team.

Meanwhile, Matthew Aquino and the Shinshu Brave Warriors were also met with a defeat after falling to Utsonomiya Brex, 72-63, as they also ended a three-game winning streak.

Aquino again saw limited action, logging only three minutes of play but his teammate Yuta Okada carried the offensive charge, finishing with 15 points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Aquino and the Brave Warriors, who recently punched their ticket to the Emperor's Cup quarterfinal stage, will try to bounce back on Sunday against the same opponent.
