Platinum Karaoke, Meralco, Terrafirma unbeaten in PBA 3x3 Leg 4 opener

Platinum Karaoke solidified its title bid after sweeping all its games in the opening day of the PBA 3x3 Leg 4 on Saturday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Platinum, which finished as runner-up during the second leg, edged Limitless Appmasters (20-12), Cavitex Braves (21-13), and Leg 3 champions Sista Super Sealers (21-17) to emerge as Pool A leader with a 3-0 slate.

Platinum will look to sweep the preliminary round on Sunday when it faces the Zamboanga Valientes but regardless of the result, Platinum has already qualified to the quarterfinal round.

Meanwhile, the Leg 2 champions Meralco Bolts were also spotless on the opening day after eking out a 21-17 victory over Pioneer Pro Tibay and a 21-16 decision over the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. 

The Bolts are qualified at least to the knockout match but will still face the San Miguel Beermen on Sunday.

Terrafirma, on the other hand, is currently leading Pool C with an unscathed 2-0 card following dominating wins over both Purefoods TJ Titans (18-15) and NorthPort Batang Pier (19-9).

The Dyip will move on to the next round but will still clash with Leg 1 winners TNT Tropang Giga to cap off the prelims.
