LA Tenorio sinks clutch trey to lift Barangay Ginebra past Phoenix in OT


LA Tenorio drilled the clutch triple to lift Barangay Ginebra past the Phoenix Fuelmasters in overtime, 125-121, on Sunday in the PBA Governors' Cup.

Up by just a single point, Tenorio made the shot from downtown with less than 10 ticks left in extra period to seal the victory. That allowed Barangay Ginebra to clinch a third straight win.

Tenorio also sank the triple which brought the game to overtime, 114-all.

Ginebra reinforcement Justin Brownlee registered 31 markers, 9 boards, and 8 dimes, while Christian Standhardinger listed 30 points and 9 rebounds in the Ginebra victory.

Arvin Tolentino added 20 points while Scottie Thompson had 17 points. Tenorio had 15 points in the win.

Paul Harris had 26 points for Phoenix, while Matthew Wright had 20 points.

Barangay Ginebra will be back in action on Christmas Day against rivals Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok, while Phoenix will try to bounce back against the NLEX Road Warriors on the same day.
