Shawn Glover to replace Jaylen Bond as Blackwater import

Blackwater is set to parade a new import in its bid to break out of slump in the 2021 PBA Governors' Cup.

Team owner Dioceldo Sy confirmed to GMA News Online that the Bossing will replace current import Jaylen Bond with Shawn Glover as the squad remains winless  in the conference at 0-5.

Blackwater has the longest losing streak in PBA history with 24 straight losses dating back to the 2020 Philippine Cup.

"With the injuries to our local scorers we need an import that can score more,"  Blackwater head coach Ariel Vanguardia said in a message.

Glover is expected to arrive within next week as the management is still working on his visa.

Glover, 31 and who stands 6-foot-7, was coming off a fresh stint with professional basketball team KR Basket seeing action in Urvalsdeild Karla in Iceland.

He will replace Bond who averaged 12 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in the five games he played for the Bossing.
