Stanley Pringle out for Governors' Cup due to injury, says Tim Cone

Barangay Ginebra guard Stanley Pringle will be out for the remainder of the PBA Governors' Cup due to injury.

In a reply to a fan's tweet, head coach Tim Cone confirmed that Pringle underwent surgery recently.

"Stanley had surgery performed last week on the meniscus of his left knee and will be out 3 months," he said. "6 weeks of non-weight bearing therapy and 6 weeks of weight bearing therapy. That will put him out of the Governors' Cup."

Pringle last played for Barangay Ginebra during their conference debut last December 12 when they defeated the Alaska Aces.

Prior to the announcement of the Alert Level 3 classification in the National Capital Region, Barangay Ginebra was expected to play on January 7 against the Blackwater Bossing. The league has made no official announcement yet on its next steps following the new restrictions.
