Shibuya hands Kobe Paras, Niigata 23rd consecutive loss; Thirdy scores 18 in San-en defeat
Several Filipino players and their respective squads racked up losses in the Japan Professional Basketball League (B.League) on Monday.
Kobe Paras and Niigata Albirex BB suffered another loss to the Sun Rockers Shibuya, 84-73, which extended their losing skid to 23 games. Paras listed six points in the losing affair.
Meanwhile, Thirdy Ravena and his San-en Neophoenix squad lost to the Kawasaki Brave Thunders anew, 78-68. Ravena registered a double-double performance of 18 markers and 12 boards in their third straight loss.
Thirdy's brother Kiefer and his team Shiga Lakestars again lost to the Akita Northern Happinets, 92-67. The Filipino player notched nine points in his team's third consecutive defeat.
Javi Gomez de Liaño's team, the Ibaraki Robots, also lost on Monday against Alvark Tokyo, 87-74, where he scored three points in 8:34 minutes of action.
Ray Parks and his squad Nagoya Diamond Dolphins lost to Shimane Susanoo Magic, 88-81. Parks was limited to four points in the losing effort.
In Division 2 action, Kemark Cariño listed two points in 4:01 minutes of play in the 91-60 loss of Aomori Wat's to Rizing Zephyr Fukuoka.
