Kai Sotto seals deal as Adelaide outlasts Melbourne United in OT

Kai Sotto proved his worth on Sunday as the Adelaide 36ers outlasted Melbourne United in overtime, 88-83.

Sotto delivered Adelaide's final shot to seal the victory in the extra period, with the Sixers being up 86-80 after his teammate Dusty Hannahs' floater at the  46-seconds mark.

Melbourne almost took the win in regulation after Shea Ili's triple with less than a minute left brought them to 74-70. However, a single free throw from Cameron Bairstow, and a triple from Hannahs with 15 ticks left forced the game into overtime, 74-all.

The Sixers had the upper hand at the end of first half, 38-30.

Sotto registered 12 points and 4 rebounds in the win, while Hannahs scored a team-high 19 points for Adelaide's first win after three losses.

Meanwhile, Jo Lual-Acuil had 23 points and 12 rebounds in the Melbourne Loss, while Jack White had 18 points.

With the win, Adelaide improved to 4-6 before they face the Brisbane Bullets on Thursday.
