Barangay Ginebra takes down Rain or Shine to end elims with win

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel ended their elimination round campaign on a high note as they rallied late to take down the Rain or Shine Elastopainters, 104-93, on Sunday in the PBA Governors' Cup.

Down 77-73 at the end of the third period, Ginebra outscored Rain or Shine 31-16 to surge ahead and eventually take the win.

Justin Brownlee registered 25 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists in the win, while Christian Standhardinger also scored 20 points.

Scottie Thompson had a double-double performance of 15 points and 12 rebounds. Jeff Chan, meanwhile, showed his vintage form and also finished with 15 points on 4-of-7 made triples.

Rain or Shine import Henry Walker made 34 points while Andrei Caracut and Beau Belga contributed with 12 points each.

Ginebra is now at 6-5 as the elimination round wrapped up, while Rain or Shine ended at 3-8.
