Former PBA player Eric Suguitan dies

Former PBA player Eric Suguitan has passed away.

His former team NLEX Road Warriors announced the news on their Facebook page on Saturday, April 16.

"The NLEX Road Warriors mourn the untimely passing of Eric Suguitan, a member of our PBA D-League champion squads," they wrote on Facebook.

Meanwhile, his cousin Jose Enrico Suguitan confirmed the news on Facebook on Sunday.

"Minsan lang mabiyayaan ng pambihirang tangkad (6'8") ang lahing Suguitan na nadraft pa sa PBA ng Meralco pero di nakapaglaro dahil sa sakit sa puso natuluyan pang kunin kaagad ni Lord," he wrote in the caption of his post.

"Mukang talagang ganoon lang ang buhay pero you have an eternity of life with the Lord now cousin Eric," he added.

"The whole Suguitan clan and all your other relatives and friends mourn for your loss," he ended his note.

Suguitan was part of NLEX Road Warrior's first three D-League titles from the 2011 to 2012 season. —JAB, GMA News.
