Rowing adds three more bronze medals for Philippines; wushu gets first silver
The Philippine rowing team added three more bronzes to the country's medal haul in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam on Friday.
Edgar Ilas, Roque Abala, Zuriel Sumintac, and Joachim De Jesus claimed the bronze medal in the men's lightweight coxless four event after clocking in 07:00.117. They placed third behind host country Vietnam (06:52.879) and gold medalist Indonesia (06:47.729).

Meanwhile, the women's lightweight quadruple sculls team, composed of Joanie Delgaco, Kharl Sha, Feiza Lenton, and Alyssa Go settled for third after registering 07:30.148. Vietnam (07:11.326) and Indonesia (07:18.388) landed in the top two spots.

The rowing team capped Friday's events with another bronze from Athens Greece Tolentino, Van Maxilom, CJ Jasmin, and Emmanuel Obaña in the men's lightweight quadruple Sculls. The national team clocked in 06:46.841 and placed third behind Indonesia (06:28.399) and Vietnam (06:34.444).

The Philippine rowers in total already have five medals, with a silver from the duo of Cris Nievarez and CJ Jasmin in the men's lightweight double sculls and another bronze from the women's team in the women's quadruple sculls.
Meanwhile, Jones Inso of wushu will bring home a silver medal from the men's taijiquan event.
