Phoenix routs Terrafirma to notch first win

The Phoenix Super LPG Fuelmasters routed Terrafirma Dyip, 97-74, on Friday to notch its first win in the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The Fuelmasters led by as much as 35 points, 59-24, in the third period after they limited Terrafirma to just ten points in the second period. Phoenix was already leading by 20, 44-24, at the end of the first half.

Jason Perkins led Phoenix with 17 points on top of nine rebounds and five assists, while Matthew Wright had 11 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds. Javee Mocon, RJ Jazul, and Encho Serrano had 10 each while Sean Anthony had 12 rebounds on top of his 9-point output.

Joseph Gabayni had 16 points and nine rebounds for Terrafirma while Aldrech Ramos had 14 points.

Phoenix (1-2) will go against Rain or Shine on Sunday, while Terrafirma (0-3) will try to bounce back on Wednesday when they face the Converge Fiberxers.
