Chot Reyes to handle Gilas Pilipinas in 2022 FIBA Asia Cup

Chot Reyes will be calling the shots again for Gilas Pilipinas in the upcoming 2022 FIBA Asia Cup.

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas on Friday announced that Reyes will handle the Indonesia-bound squad, along with assistant coaches Nenad Vucinic, Jong Uichico, and Sandro Soriano.

Vucinic handled the national team in the recently concluded third window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers where they ended up with a 1-1 record.

Reyes last handled the men's basketball team in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam where they failed to win the gold medal and settled for silver instead.

The Philippines will first see action in the tournament on Wednesday when they play Lebanon.
