Wangs-Letran, Marinerong Pilipino notch second wins in PBA D-League

Wangs Basketball @ 26-Letran and Marinerong Pilipino notched their second wins in the PBA D-League on Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Early in the day, Marinerong Pilipino defeated EcoOil-La Salle, 84-64. Juan Gomez de Liaño registered 27 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds, making him the ninth player in the tournament's history to record a triple-double and the second most in points from those nine, according to PBA statistician Fidel Mangonon III.

Jollo Go added 17 points, while Mapua University's Rence Nocum had 11 points.

Wangs-Letran, meanwhile, averted a come-from-behind win from AMA Online. 89-84 victory. King Caralipio listed 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Paolo Javillonar flirted with a double-double, posting 17 points and nine rebounds for their second win.

Adalem Construction-St. Clare capped off the day with a victory over CEU Scorpions, 96-76.

The league will return on Thursday with matches between AMA Online and St. Clare, and Apex Fuel-San Sebastian College and Builders Warehouse-UST.
