Gilas' Thirdy Ravena shows courage despite injury: 'Laban lang'
Thirdy Ravena is one courageous soldier for the Philippines.
In their opening game against Lebanon in the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup in Indonesia, Thirdy suffered a cut above his eye after a bad landing before the end of the first half.
With the injury, he was wheeled off the court, but still with a smile on his face.

Apparently, Thirdy continued to play because he did not want the team to be down a man.
"12 lang kami dito and I didn't want the team to be one man down. Laban lang and, as we always mention, para sa bayan," Thirdy said, as quoted by a tweet from the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

Thirdy's injury even had his brother Kiefer scared, but he was not surprised with his comeback.
"It wasn't just me. Thirdy has 11 other brothers in the team. Everybody was just worried as I am," Kiefer said in a post-game conference.
"Knowing him, I wasn't surprised that he came back. Coach knows when and when not to put him in," Kiefer said.
The older Ravena said they will continue monitoring Thirdy's situation.
"I'm sure he'll be ready to play against India."
