FEU downs UST in FilOil action; NU punches quarters ticket with forfeit win vs Mapua

Far Eastern University defeated the University of Santo Tomas, 90-79, for their third win in the Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup on Sunday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

Bryan Sanjonia led the Tamaraws with 20 points, five rebounds, and three assists, while Ximone Sandagon flirted with a double-double 13 points and nine rebounds. Xyrus Torres, James Tempra, and LJ Gonzales chipped in 12, 11, and 10 points each.

Kean Baclaan had 19 points and seven boards for UST, while Sherwin Concepcion added 13 points in the loss which brought them to 1-4.

Meanwhile, National University punched a ticket to the preseason quarterfinals as they won by default against Mapua University. Mapua could not complete a lineup during the said match.

San Beda University will go against rival Colegio de San Juan de Letran at 3 pm, while matches between Adamson and University of the Philippines, and San Sebastian College-Recoletos and De La Salle University will follow suit.
