Akari downs F2 to end campaign on a high; PLDT disrupts Cignal to keep playoff hopes alive

The Akari Chargers ended their campaign in the 2022 PVL Reinforced Conference on a winning note as they took down the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, 25-21, 22-25, 26-24, 25-22, on Tuesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Import Prisilla Rivera tallied 32 points off 29 attacks and three blocks, while locals Janine Marciano and Erika Raagas made 8 points each in the win which wrapped Akari's campaign with three wins and five losses.

Lindsay Stalzer and Ivy Lacsina made 17 points each, while Kim Kianna Dy had 11 points in the match which put F2 to 3-3.

Earlier, PLDT took down Cignal, 25-21, 25-23, 22-25, 25-21, to stay in the hunt for a playoff spot with a 3-4 card.

Elena Samoilenko had 27 points, while Dell Palomata and Mika Reyes added 15 and 11 points, respectively in the PLDT win.

Import Tai Bierria made 16 points, while Ces Molina, Roselyn Doria, and Ria Meneses scored in double digits with 15, 14, and 12 points, respectively.

PVL action will return on Thursday with Chery Tiggo and PLDT going at each other at 2:30 pm while the Choco Mucho Flying Titans and the Creamline Cool Smashers will battle it out at 5:30 pm at the Mall of Asia Arena.
