Vintage Jai Reyes on display in return to pro ball with Malaysian team
Jai Reyes is back in professional basketball as he joined Malaysian team KL Aseel in the Major Basketball League in Malaysia.
Reyes dropped 23 points on three triples and 5 rebounds in their 92-70 win against the Sunrise Youngsters.
“I haven’t played competitive basketball since 2020, ever since I started Filbasket I took on more of a management role in the league. I just miss playing man,” said Jai Reyes, who is the founder and head of pro league Filbasket.
Previously, Reyes also played in several teams in the PBA and MPBL, and also played internationally with the Saigon Heat in the ABL.
Aside from Reyes, Jun Manzo also plays in the same team in the Major Basketball League. Kemark Cariño, meanwhile, is with the Pegasus Brunei team in the Malaysian league.
