Import Cameron Clark drilled the biggest basket of the game as he steered San Miguel to a 102-99 escape of Barangay Ginebra in the 2023 PBA Governors' Cup on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Nards Pinto buried a huge triple before Scottie Thompson stole the leather after a scramble during Simon Enciso's inbound pass to make it a one-point affair, 100-99, with only 26.7 seconds left in the game.

But Enciso redeemed himself, issuing the game-winning assist to a cutting Clark to give the Beermen a crucial three-point cushion, 102-99, going into the final 8.8 seconds.

Pinto had the chance to tie the game but he missed out on his final three-point attempt.

Clark finished with a double-double of 35 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists while Perez finished with 20 markers, seven boards, four dimes, four steals, and one block as San Miguel improved to 7-1, tying TNT at the top spot.

June Mar Fajardo listed 12 points, 18 rebounds, and three steals while Vic Manuell came off the bench with 10 markers and two rebounds.

Ginebra slipped to 3-2 despite getting huge numbers from Christian Standhardinger who collected 29 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, and one block in the defeat.
