Team Scottie goes for Standhardinger, Team Japeth picks Fajardo in PBA All-Star Draft


Christian Standhardinger was the top overall pick as Team Scottie made the first selection during the PBA All-Star Game Draft on Monday.

Scottie Thompson opted to go for his Barangay Ginebra teammate while Team Japeth got San Miguel big man June Mar Fajardo for the second pick as Tim Cone was chosen to guide Team Japeth while Yeng Guiao will coach Team Scottie.

Aside from Standhardinger, Team Scottie also got to pick San Miguel's CJ Perez and Marcio Lassiter, Magnolia's Calvin Abueva and Mark Barroca, NorthPort's Robert Bolick and Arvin Tolentino, TNT's Jayson Castro, and Rain or Shine's James Yap.

Thompson also selected another Ginebra teammate in Stanley Pringle.

Over at Team Japeth, joining Fajardo are Ginebra's LA Tenorio, Jeremiah Gray, Nards Pinto, and Jamie Malonzo, Meralco's Chris Newsome, TNT's RR Pogoy, Magnolia's Paul Lee, Rain or Shine's Gian Mamuyac, and San Miguel's Terrence Romeo.

The All-Star Festivities will be held from March 9 to 12 in Passi, Iloilo, where other offerings like the Slam Dunk Challenge, Skills Contest, and Three-Point Shooting contest will be featured.
