Far Eastern University added another weapon to its arsenal as it secured the commitment of FEU-Diliman standout Janrey Pasaol.

The 5-foot-11 guard announced the development a day after the Baby Tamaraws clinched the UAAP Season 85 high school boys basketball against Adamson University.

"Pinili kong mag-stay sa FEU kasi sobra-sobra ang pasasalamat ko sa kanila sa laking tulong nila sa'kin, 'di lang sa basketball, kundi sa buhay pa," Pasaol said in a statement. "Thankful din ako kasi ito yung school na pinapangarap ng iba at nabigyan ako ng chance na makapag-aral at makapaglaro rito."

("I chose to stay in FEU because I have so much gratitude to them for all of the help they gave me, not just in basketball, but in life... I'm thankful also because this is the school that some people hope to enter and I was given the chance to study and play here.")

In the Diliman-based squad's championship season, Pasaol registered 15.7 points, 6.7 assists, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game.

He will join the seniors team in Morayta who has a new head coach in Denok Miranda and key holdovers such as L-Jay Gonzales, Patrick Sleat, and Bryan Sajonia.

"Malaki matutulong niya sa team, lalo na alam na niya yung system ko," said Miranda, who was also active in the sidelines of the Baby Tamaraws' campaign.

The seniors team missed the Final Four bus in Season 85 and ended their campaign with a 5-9 record.
