Best Import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson drops 36 as TNT levels PBA Finals series vs Ginebra


Rondae Hollis-Jefferson erupted for another hot shooting night as TNT cruised to a 116-104 win against Barangay Ginebra in Game Four of the 2023 PBA Governors' Cup finals on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Hollis-Jefferson, who was crowned the Best Import earlier before the game, dropped 36 points alongside 10 rebounds, five assists, and three steals as the Tropang Giga leveled the series at 2-2.

TNT led by as many as 23 early in the second period, 48-25, before the Gin Kings pulled to within 11 after Justin Brownlee buried a huge triple for a 68-57 spread. But TNT was able to build another 18-point lead before heading to the fourth, 95-77.

Mikey Williams and Hollis-Jefferson then connived late to put the finishing kick for TNT.

Williams finished with 16 points and three assists while Jayson Castro came off the bench and churned out 17 markers, two boards, and two dimes as TNT avoided a 1-3 hole.

The loss saw Brownlee register 28 points, five rebounds, and four assists while Scottie Thompson added 22 markers, nine boards, and six dimes. Best Player of the Conference Christian Standhardinger had 10 points and nine assists.

The two teams will go for a 3-2 lead come Game 5 on Wednesday at 5:45 p.m.
