Rain or Shine slaps Beau Belga with hefty fine after internal probe reveals more unsanctioned games

A hefty fine awaits Beau Belga after an internal probe conducted by Rain or Shine revealed that the veteran big man had joined other unsanctioned exhibition games aside from that in Cebu.

After the team held its own internal investigation, it was found out that the 36-year-old Belga had also suited up in 'Ligang Labas' games in Davao and Laguna and will have to pay a fine of 15 days worth of salary.

"Rain or Shine Team Management has concluded its internal investigation and found that Beau Belga breached his PBA Uniform Players' Contract by participating in exhibition games in Cebu, Davao, and Laguna," the team said in a post on Facebook on Tuesday.

"A fine of fifteen (15) days worth of salary has been imposed on Beau."

Belga was previously seen in a video playing in an unsanctioned basketball game in Cebu, which ended with him, alongside former teammate JR Quiñahan, being involved in a brawl with other players.

The Elasto Painters management slapped Belga with a six-day suspension with no pay on Monday.
