Dirk Nowitzki, Yao Ming visit Malacañang as Marcos vows support for FIBA World Cup

Basketball legends Dirk Nowitzki and Yao Ming, along with the FIBA Central Board, visited Malacañan Palace for a courtesy call with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. on Friday.

During the meeting, Marcos vowed full support for the country’s hosting of the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

“If there’s one thing I can guarantee all of the Central Board members here in the Philippines is that you are going to have a very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, loud, passionate crowd for every single day,” Marcos said in a speech.
