Thirdy Ravena signs new contract with San-en NeoPhoenix
Thirdy Ravena is returning for his fourth season in the Japan Basketball League as he signed a fresh contract with the San-en NeoPhoenix for the 2023-2024 season.
The team announced the development on Wednesday through a social media post.
The 26-year-old guard said he's looking forward to another season with the Japanese club, which finished 16th in the previous edition with a 23-37 win-loss record.
"I’m very happy to be spending one more year with NeoPhoenix in the hopes of winning a championship," Ravena said.
"I’m very happy with the trust and the love the community has given me and the coaching staff and their patience with me."
Ravena first joined San-en in 2020, becoming the first Filipino basketball player to suit up as an import in the prestigious league. Now in his fourth year, the former Ateneo de Manila University star and three-time UAAP champion said he's eyeing to win a title for San-en.
"Hopefully I become a better player in order to help the team, win more games and hopefully make it to the playoffs and win a championship," Ravena, who is part of the Gilas Pilipinas' World Cup pool, added.
"Thank you so much for your support and I will see you next season!"
