USA Basketball officially announces roster for FIBA World Cup in Manila


USA Basketball officially announced the Team USA roster for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup set to begin on August 25 here in Manila.

“On behalf of USA Basketball, I’m thrilled to introduce the 2023 USA Men’s National Team, which features some of basketball’s brightest talent,” said Grant Hill, who is USA Basketball’s managing director for the men’s national team.

“We are excited for the challenges ahead and look forward to the opportunity to compete at the 2023 FIBA Men’s World Cup. I am confident that working together, and under the leadership of our outstanding coaching staff, this team will proudly represent the United States this summer in Manila.”

The roster includes NBA players such as All-Star Tyrese Haliburton and Jaren Jackson Jr., former No. 1 picks Anthony Edwards and Paolo Banchero and Los Angeles Lakers player Austin Reaves.

Steve Kerr (Golden State Warriors) is will serve as the head coach of the team and will be assisted by Filipino-American coach Erik Spoelstra (Miami Heat), Tyronn Lue (Los Angeles Clippers), and Mark Few (Gonzaga University).
