San Miguel snaps streak, sends TNT to 0-6 hole in PBA On Tour


The San Miguel Beermen finally put an end to their losing streak, adding to TNT Tropang Giga's woes with a 111-74 victory in the PBA On Tour on Friday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

San Miguel halted its five-game slump to improve to 3-6 while TNT slid to 0-6.

Marvin Lee waxed hot from deep with five triples to finish with 22 points alongside three rebounds and two assists, while Allyn Bulanadi and Jericho Cruz listed 20 markers apiece.

Rodney Brondial registered a double-double of 17 points and 13 boards.

TNT was led by Jaydee Tungcab, who poured in 30 points on 12-of-19 from the field together with five rebounds and three assists while Carl Bryan Cruz churned out 21 markers.

Earlier, the Converge FiberXers regained its winning ways after a 104-90 win against the Phoenix Super LPG  Fuel Masters with Jolo Mendoza leading the way.

The former Ateneo standout sizzled for seven three-pointers to finish with a team-high 26 points off the bench alongside three assists and a steal as the FiberXers improved to 4-4.

Mike Nieto chipped in 20 markers, nine rebounds, two steals, and one dime while Kevin Racal and Keith Zaldivar chimed in with 12 and 11 points apiece as they sent the Fuel Masters to their second straight loss (3-5).
