Ginebra eyeing third straight PBA 3x3 leg title

Barangay Ginebra is aiming for another title as it advanced to the knockout stage of the Leg 3 of the PBA 3x3 Season 3 First Conference on Monday at the Ayala Mall Manila Bay.

Ralph Cu, whose game-winning basket steered the team to Leg 2 title against Meralco last week, once again starred for Ginebra, finishing with six points to fuel a 15-12 victory against Purefoods to kick off their campaign.

They, however, lost to Pioneer with an 18-11 defeat. Still, their record was enough to move forward in the three-a-side tournament.

Ginebra is eyeing to become the first-ever team to cop three straight leg titles.

Meanwhile, decorated squad TNT also buckled down to work as it defeated Terrafirma (21-16), Cavitex (21-15), and Blackwater (21-18) to lead Pool C and earn a ticket to the next round.
