Choco Mucho repeats over Japan, claims VTV Cup bronze

Choco Mucho reasserted its mastery of Japan's Kansai University of Social Welfare in four sets, 25-20, 23-25, 25-13, 25-18, to clinch the bronze medal in the 2023 VTV International Women's Volleyball Cup on Saturday in Vietnam.

Vietnam 1 took home the gold medal after taking down compatriot Vietnam 2 in the finals with a 25-18, 18-25, 25-12, 22-25, 15-5 victory.

A double-block by Chery Nunag and Caitlyn Viray sent the Flying Titans to the match point, 24-18, before Isa Molde found a hold on Japan's defense to serve up an ace and the game-winning point.

The win allowed Choco Mucho to repeat over the Japanese club, whom they defeated to open its campaign last week.

Sisi Rondina and Maddi Madayag shone for the Flying Titans and were named the Best Outside Spiker and Best Middle Blocker, respectively.
