USA ekes out win against Montenegro in FIBA second round opener

Team USA survived probably one of their closest fights in the 2023 FIBA World Cup as they eked out a win against Montenegro, 85-73, on Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

In their previous matches in the first round, the Americans won with at least a 27-point margin, with their biggest against Jordan at 110-62.

Montenegro will face Greece on Sunday, while the USA will go against Lithuania on the same day.
