Lithuania downs Greece, advances to World Cup quarters along with USA

Lithuania took down Greece, 92-67, in their second round face-off on Friday in the 2023 FIBA World Cup at the Mall of Asia Arena.

As Lithuania led 64-58 at the end of the third period, the squad limited the Greeks to just nine points in the final frame against their 28 points to assure itself a slot in the quarterfinals.

Rokas Jokubaitis posted 19 points for Lithuania, while Ignas Brazdeikis added 18 points.

Thomas Walkup led the Greeks with 21 points in the loss.

With the win, Lithuania improved to 4-0 and assured also the United States of a slot in the quarters from Group J.

Lithuania and the United States will face each other on Sunday.
