RHJ drops 26 but Jordan falls to Mexico in last World Cup game
Until the very end, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson showed his talent in the 2023 FIBA World Cup as he dropped 26 points in Jordan's 93-80 loss against Mexico on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
In the whole tournament, Hollis-Jefferson logged an average of 23.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game.

His 26-point output was his second best in the World Cup, following his 39-point explosion against New Zealand in the first round of the group phase where Jordan lost in overtime.
RHJ is expected to suit up for the TNT Tropang Giga in the season-opening Commissioner's Cup of the PBA in October.
Earlier, New Zealand won over Egypt, 88-86, to assure South Sudan of a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics as the best African team in the tourney.
In other World Cup matches, Finland defeated Venezuela, 90-75, in Okinawa, while Japan also booked a slot in the Olympics following its 80-71 win against Cape Verde to become the Asian team with the best finish.
Over in Jakarta, France took down Cote d'Ivoire, 87-77, while Lebanon won against Iran, 81-73.
