Janine Pontejos and Afril Bernardino combined for 43 points as Gilas Pilipinas Women dismantled Hong Kong, 99-63, for their second win in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China on Friday.
Pontejos waxed hot as she drilled seven triples en route to a 23-point outing, while Bernardino posted 20 points.
Gilas trailed, 20-19, at the end of the first period before drubbing Hong Kong and taking control of the game until the final buzzer.
Aside from Pontejos and Bernardino, Castillo added 17 points as she shot five from beyond the arc, while Louna Ozar and Jack Animam chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Prior to this, Gilas defeated Kazakhstan, 83-59.
The women's team will face Japan on Sunday to wrap their group stage matches.
