Almond Vosotros TNT vs Meralco PBA 3x3

The TNT Triple Giga displayed their might, spoiling Meralco's bid for a third consecutive leg title as the powerhouse club pulled off a 21-18 victory to rule Leg 5 of 2023-2024 PBA 3x3 Third Conference on Tuesday at the Ayala Mall Manila Bay.

Almond Vosotros was in his element, scoring the Triple Giga's last three points including the game-sealing jumper that allowed TNT to clinch its first leg crown in the current conference.

The Bolts, meanwhile, saw their scorching run come to an end as they were eyeing a third straight leg title and fourth overall in the conference after also reigning supreme in Leg 1.

Vosotros led TNT with seven points while Ping Exciminiano and debuting Xyrus Torres had five markers each to lift the Mau Belen-coached squad. Chester Saldua rounded out the scoring for TNT with his four points as they took home P100,000.

TNT, who lost to Meralco twice in the finals of Legs 3 and 4, dedicated the revenge victory to their fallen teammate Samboy de Leon, who was sidelined due to a season-ending injury.

“This is for you brother. Get well soon,” said Saldua.

The Cavitex Braves, meanwhile, salvaged a third place finish after outhustling MCFASolver Tech Centrale, 21-13, in their battle for bronze.
