PBA: San Miguel snaps Magnolia's four-game streak, goes 8-0


The San Miguel Beermen took down the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots, 98-91, to remain undefeated in eight games in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Beermen led by as much as 20 points in the second period, 34-14, before the first half ended at 51-40 in San Miguel's favor.

Magnolia tried to inch closer in the second half as the Hotshots were three points short, 92-89, with 1:25 remaining in the fourth period. However, back-to-back triples from Chris Ross and CJ Perez sealed the victory for the Beermen.

CJ Perez had 25 points, five assists, and two rebounds, while Chris Ross added 15 points for San Miguel which is now at 8-0. 

Aris Dionisio registered 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Paul Lee had 23 points as Magnolia saw its four-game streak snapped and slipped to 5-3.
