Terrafirma pulled off an upset against twice-to-beat San Miguel, 106-95, in the PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals on Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

The Dyip pulled away in the third and led by 11, 66-55, before ending the said frame at 82-73 in their advantage.

The Beermen cut their deficit to within eight at the 3:18 mark of the fourth quarter before a triple and a layup from Juami Tiongson gave the Dyip a 13-point lead with 2:02 remaining.

Free throws and a layup from CJ Perez gave San Miguel a glimmer of hope before Tiongson's free throws off a foul by Terrence Romeo sealed the deal for the Dyip.

The win spoiled June Mar Fajardo's 21-point, 16-board outing, while CJ Perez had 20 points. Jericho Cruz and Marcio Lassiter had 11 and 10 points, respectively.
