PBA: Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser suffers ACL injury ahead of TNT-Rain or Shine decider

PBA: Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser of the TNT Tropang Giga

The TNT Tropang Giga will square off with Rain or Shine in their PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals do-or-die Game 3 on Wednesday with a depleted roster after Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser was ruled out due to an injury.

Ganuelas-Rosser suffered an ACL injury and lateral meniscus tear on his knee after going down in the first quarter of their Game 2 clash last Sunday, which the Tropang Giga lost, 121-113, as the Elasto Painters forced an equalizer.

He finished with five points and two rebounds.

The absence of Ganuelas-Rosser, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 PBA Rookie Draft, will be a big blow to TNT frontcourt, but the Chot Reyes-mentored club will still have the likes of other veterans in Kelly Williams and Jewel Ponferada as well as youngster Henry Galinato manning the paint.

The winner of the sudden death will advance to the best-of-seven semifinals against either San Miguel or Terrafirma, who will also play in a knockout match earlier that day.
