Will Gozum out for Quezon after suffering season-ending knee injury

Will Gozum is tipped to miss the remainder of the Quezon Huskers' 2024 MPBL campaign after he sustained a season-ending injury during their game against Batangas last Saturday.

The Huskers announced the development on Wednesday as the former NCAA MVP out of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde is scheduled to undergo a major left knee injury surgery and will focus on recovery after.

Gozum's injury occurred late in the fourth quarter against Rum Masters after he grabbed a steal against CJ Isit with Quezon enjoying a slim 67-65 lead with 56 seconds left in the regulation. Unfortunately, he hurt his left knee after avoiding Isit but was still able to  issue the pass to Gab Banal for the layup.

Gozum still finished with eight points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block as Quezon escaped Batangas in overtime, 91-89, as they improved to 8-0 in the standings.
