Zamboanga Valientes near The Asian Tournament Leg 3 finals stint

The Zamboanga Valientes took down the Vantablack Dragons, 106-97, on Thursday in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro to inch closer to their first leg finals appearance in The Asian Tournament.

Frankie Johnson posted 36 points and seven assists, while Job Alcantara finished with 17 points, six assists, and three steals. San Beda University product Peter Alfaro had 16 points, eight assists, and five rebounds as the Valientes improved to 3-1 in the third leg of the tournament.

Usman Rasool and Derek Wei King led the Dragons with 38 and 30 points, respectively.

Zamboanga must win its final elimination match against the Macau Black Bears on Saturday to advance to the finals.
