PBA slaps Larry Muyang with indefinite ban for breach of contract
Larry Muyang has been sanctioned by the PBA with an indefinite ban for breaching his original contract with his mother club Phoenix.
The league announced the development on Sunday after Muyang suited up for the Pampanga Giant Lanterns in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League's (MPBL) Season 7.
According to the Phoenix management, the 6-foot-6 big man has a live contract with the squad which won't expire until May.
PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said Muyang was remorseful after the incident, but stressed he's not ruling out any possibility of a lawsuit being filed by Phoenix against the player.
But in the event Muyang and Phoenix reconcile, Marcial said Muyang still has to make his case before the PBA Board of Governors to get reinstated to the league.
Based on MPBL's official website, Muyang has already played three games for Pampanga, including their 127-95 thrashing of Manila Batang Quiapo where the former Letran bruiser posted 35 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
