What's next for Gilas Pilipinas in the FIBA Asia Cup?
Gilas Pilipinas has secured third place in Group D of the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup, earning a spot in the qualification to the quarterfinals.
At the conclusion of the Group D games, New Zealand claimed the top spot with a perfect 3-0 record to directly advance to the quarters, followed by Chinese Taipei with a 2-1 standing. Iraq, on the other hand, has been eliminated from contention.

What’s Next for the Philippines in the FIBA Asia Cup?
As the third seed in Group D, Gilas Pilipinas will go up against the second-placed team from Group C which is host country Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia finished the group stage with a 2-1 record, notching wins over Jordan (77-73) and India (84-59).
The quarterfinal qualification match between the Philippines and Saudi Arabia is scheduled for Tuesday at 12:00 a.m. (Philippine time).
If Gilas wins over Saudi Arabia and secures a quarterfinal berth, it will then face the top team from Group A.
Currently, Australia leads Group A with two wins, while Lebanon and South Korea both hold 1-1 records. Qatar, meanwhile, is winless in two games. Australia and Qatar are set to face off later today at 4:00 p.m.
